Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day execution of the Mid-market YouTube channel and video content programs in alignment with the overall YouTube strategy
- Serve as the operational lead: channel management, community management, video production/program management, and performance reporting
- Partner cross-functionally with internal teams (Comms, Search, Marketing, Sales and Customer Success) and external agencies to bring video programs to life
- Stay ahead of YouTube and search trends, platform and LLM features, and the competitive/creator landscape, and proactively bring optimization recommendations as feedback loop for video content
- Stay current on YouTube algorithm changes, platform features (Shorts, chapters, end screens, playlists, quiz, etc.), and emerging channel and creative trends, translating them into concrete optimization recommendations
Requirements
- Experience with communication and marketing programs for enterprise technology products and/or B2B software industry
- Experience in crafting messages and producing videos for mid-market and enterprise level business audiences
- Experience managing an editorial calendar, YouTube uploading, reviewing and editing videos with applied brand, GEO/SEO, and audience behavior best practices
- Hands-on experience managing various content projects related to product go-to-market, audience, and GEO/SEO improvements, and stakeholder management
- Strong understanding of SEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) principles; Knows how to structure metadata, transcripts, and content so it surfaces and gets cited by both traditional search engines and AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini)
- Deep product curiosity and understanding; Comfortable learning about the client's product portfolio and product features, business objectives, target audiences, and the YouTube/creator competitive landscape to then apply these insights to shape channel and video programs
- Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, professional writing and communication skills
- Highly detail-oriented, with strong organizational and project-management skills
- Able to meet deadlines and work cross-functionally with teams to lead programs and get team alignment
- Strong ability to take strategic direction, research necessary tactics, and create a working process of execution
- Able to juggle multiple video programs at once and take initiative to drive velocity and results with high-quality execution
- Proven ability to program manage and work cross-functionally across comms, creative, marketing, product, legal, and external partners
