Description
- You'll lead a team that builds automation to secure Amazon's Devices & Services business: the products customers bring into their homes, cars, and daily lives: smart home devices, wireless routers, security cameras and other security devices, TVs, tablets, wearables, and autonomous vehicles. Your team's job is to make security controls automatic. Instead of relying on humans to catch every issue, you'll build systems that enforce the right security outcomes consistently and accurately, at the scale these businesses operate. This is a builder's role with real teeth: the controls your team ships decide what does and doesn't reach customers. You'll also get to work at the frontier. Your engineers apply applied science techniques and partner closely with security engineers to build agentic AI-based solutions for detection, decision making, and enforcement. Key job responsibilities Own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery for automated security controls across the Devices & Services product portfolio. Lead, grow, and coach a team of software engineers; hire well and set a high bar. Partner with security engineers and applied scientists to turn hard security problems into durable, automated solutions including agentic AI-based approaches. Drive outcomes that make security consistent and accurate by design, removing the human error that lets issues slip through. Work backwards from customer and business risk to decide where automation matters most. Set technical direction and hold the quality, reliability, and operational bar for the systems your team runs.
