What We're Looking For
- Solid experience designing, developing, testing, and monitoring applications in high-availability SaaS environments
- Strong software engineering experience with Go or Java, with the ability and willingness to work across multiple programming languages
- Experience designing and developing distributed, event-driven services and scalable backend systems
- Experience building production applications in cloud environments such as AWS or GCP
- Strong understanding of secure software development practices, including areas such as OWASP, vulnerability assessment, threat modeling, secure code review, data protection, encryption, authentication, and authorization
- Experience working with microservice architectures and large-scale event ingestion platforms
- Familiarity with real-time communication technologies such as WebSockets, Kafka, MQTT, or similar messaging technologies
- Experience with non-relational databases such as DynamoDB and familiarity with relational databases, caching, and object storage technologies
- Understanding of networking, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure concepts relevant to distributed applications
- Experience developing applications that maintain continuous connectivity with client software is highly valued
- Strong quality mindset, including automated testing, performance tuning, refactoring, monitoring, and continuous improvement
- Ability to make data-driven engineering decisions and understand the production impact of software changes
- Experience contributing across the complete software development lifecycle, from technical design and specifications through implementation and production operation
- Strong ownership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously while collaborating closely with the broader engineering team
- Excellent English communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional, distributed teams
