This role focuses on modernizing enterprise systems through cloud-native development, secure API architecture, and large-scale system migrations. You will contribute to the transformation of legacy platforms into scalable, secure, and audit-ready solutions aligned with IT governance and compliance standards. The position combines hands-on backend engineering with architectural collaboration, supporting critical initiatives such as API modernization and data pipeline enhancement. You will work across distributed systems, integrating new enterprise platforms while ensuring reliability, traceability, and performance of key services. This is a highly technical role requiring strong expertise in both Java and Golang within cloud environments. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, production-grade systems in a fast-moving, enterprise-scale setting.
• Accountabilities Design, develop, and modernize scalable backend systems and APIs, supporting enterprise-level system migrations, secure data pipelines, and cloud-native architectures aligned with compliance and audit requirements. Lead development and migration of legacy systems toward modern cloud-based architectures and enterprise platforms Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java (Spring Boot) and Golang for backend services Develop secure, scalable, and observable data pipelines supporting audit readiness and system traceability Work with AWS services such as ECS/Fargate, Lambda, SQS, and CloudFormation to build distributed systems Participate in architectural design discussions and contribute to technical decisions across integration initiatives Ensure system reliability, performance, and security in high-scale production environments Collaborate with cross-functional technical and business stakeholders to align requirements and delivery goals Support troubleshooting, debugging, and continuous improvement of existing systems and integrations Requirements Experienced backend or cloud engineer with strong expertise in Java and Golang, capable of designing distributed systems and delivering secure, scalable APIs in enterprise environments. 7–10 years of professional software development experience, primarily in Java-based backend systems Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API design and integration Solid experience using Golang for backend services and system development Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services including ECS/Fargate, Lambda, SQS, and CloudFormation Strong understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and cloud architecture principles Experience with containerization technologies and modern CI/CD delivery environments Strong knowledge of secure data transfer practices and system integration patterns Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working with technical and business stakeholders Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience preferred Benefits Long-term remote contract opportunity (U.S.-based) Exposure to large-scale enterprise system modernization initiatives Hands-on work with modern cloud-native technologies (AWS, containers, microservices) Collaborative engineering environment with architectural influence opportunities Opportunity to work on high-impact systems supporting compliance and audit readiness Flexible remote work arrangement within the United States Competitive contract compensation aligned with experience level
