We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with strong backend development expertise in Python and Django to join a remote team serving clients across multiple industries. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable software solutions while contributing to modern cloud-based applications. You will work throughout the full software development lifecycle, from development and deployment to monitoring and continuous improvement. • Accountabilities: The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing robust backend solutions, supporting application delivery, and collaborating with technical teams to ensure high-quality software outcomes. The role involves: Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Python and Django. Build scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions aligned with technical and business requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features, improvements, and technical enhancements. Participate in code reviews, follow Git-based development practices, and contribute to effective branching and pull request workflows. Deploy and support applications in cloud environments, preferably using Microsoft Azure or similar platforms. Troubleshoot production issues, perform application monitoring, and support ongoing maintenance activities. Work in Linux-based development and deployment environments. Contribute to CI/CD processes and deployment automation initiatives. Collaborate with frontend teams when required to support full-stack development activities. Requirements: The ideal candidate has strong backend engineering experience, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently in a remote and collaborative environment. Required qualifications include: Proven professional experience developing applications with Python and Django. Advanced or fluent English communication skills. Experience working with Git in collaborative development environments, including pull requests and code reviews. Experience deploying applications to cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure, with AWS or GCP experience also considered. Comfortable working with Linux environments. Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting skills, and ability to independently manage technical challenges. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with GitHub Actions or other CI/CD tools. Experience with React and TypeScript for full-stack development is a plus. Knowledge of Kubernetes and Helm is a plus. Experience managing application deployments, production monitoring, or working directly with clients in a consulting environment is desirable.
