Job Description
- This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Solution Design Consultant based in United States. This role is responsible for diagnosing complex renewal challenges and translating those findings into practical, measurable, and commercially sound operating solutions. You will lead end-to-end renewal diagnostics, from data collection and executive interviews through analysis, solution design, business case development, and delivery handoff. The position combines quantitative analysis, financial modeling, customer-facing consulting, and operational design in a highly autonomous environment. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Data, Solutions Architecture, Deal Desk, Finance, and Delivery teams to build solutions that balance automation, human oversight, and business outcomes. A key part of the role is ensuring that recommendations are defensible, financially grounded, and aligned with agreed operating parameters. You will also help validate results during implementation and contribute to improving the broader diagnostic methodology and solution design practice.
- Accountabilities: Lead renewal diagnostics from initial executive sponsorship and scoping through data requests, qualitative interviews, systems walkthroughs, maturity assessments, and executive-level presentation of findings. Translate diagnostic insights into a target operating model that clearly defines which renewal activities can operate autonomously, which require approval, and which should remain human-led, while establishing an appropriate progression toward greater autonomy. Develop comprehensive business cases that compare partnership and parity scenarios across the identified opportunity set, clearly documenting assumptions and modeling capacity, costs, and expected economics throughout the implementation ramp. Establish pricing inputs and collaborate with Deal Desk and Finance on commercial structure, margins, and ramp assumptions, while developing clear responsibility frameworks covering AI and human actions, autonomy levels, guardrails, and escalation paths. Maintain solution integrity throughout commercial negotiations by connecting the proposed operating design and business case to contract terms and the agreed operating parameters. Prepare comprehensive handoff materials for Delivery and Solutions Architecture, including deal review documentation, readiness scorecards, final diagnostic readouts, pricing models, assumptions, risks, and outstanding decisions. Reassess the solution against live performance during the ramp period, lead value assessments against agreed baselines, and contribute to improving diagnostic methods, reusable assets, and practice tools. Travel occasionally, up to approximately 25%, primarily during diagnostic interview periods, executive readouts, team meetings, training, or company events. Requirements: Bring 10+ years of relevant professional experience and a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrate experience conducting both qualitative and quantitative analysis of complex business problems and presenting actionable findings to senior executives, particularly within renewal, customer success, subscription revenue, or related operational environments. Have strong financial modeling skills in Excel, including the ability to build multi-year business cases, analyze margins, develop scenario ranges, and translate financial assumptions into practical recommendations. Demonstrate the ability to design and price a configured operating model with a compelling commercial case, balancing operational requirements, financial considerations, and customer needs. Bring experience carrying a proposed solution through commercial negotiations and translating solution design, assumptions, and operating requirements into appropriate contract terms. Be comfortable working with significant autonomy, prioritizing multiple deliverables, managing complex engagements, and driving work through to completion with limited supervision. Possess strong executive communication, analytical reasoning, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Have a practical understanding of renewal and subscription revenue operations, business diagnostics, operating model design, and the interaction between technology-enabled and human-led processes. Benefits: Base salary of $180,000–$200,000 USD annually, depending on factors such as skills, experience, and location. Performance-based commission eligibility. Participation in an equity program. Comprehensive benefits package with fully covered medical premiums for employees. Dental and vision coverage. 401(k) plan. Flexible paid time off. Remote work options. $10,000 lifetime fertility stipend. Access to coworking spaces around the globe. Dedicated Recharge Holidays, providing one long weekend each quarter for time to relax and reset. Professional mentoring and career development opportunities. A collaborative and inclusive work environment focused on innovation, learning, and meaningful customer impact. Occasional travel of up to 25%, primarily concentrated around diagnostic engagements, executive readouts, training, team meetings, and company events.
