- Are you a finance professional who thrives on building bridges between logistics operations and financial management? Join our Transportation Finance team in Brazil where you'll combine analytical expertise with relationship-building skills to support Amazon's transportation operations. In this role, you'll serve as the financial backbone for logistics operations, analyzing fixed costs, managing tax credits, and translating complex financial data into actionable insights for operational stakeholders. You'll build and maintain financial dashboards, document processes, and train team members while fostering collaborative relationships across functions. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop both technical finance skills and leadership capabilities while supporting one of Amazon's most critical operational areas. Key job responsibilities - Lead the analysis and closing of logistics fixed costs, monitoring of tax credits, and management of financial projects, providing actionable insights to operations teams and cross-functional partners. - Build and maintain comprehensive financial dashboards and reporting tools that enable data-driven decision making for transportation operations leadership. - Develop structured process documentation (SOPs) and knowledge transfer materials to ensure operational continuity and scalability of financial activities across the organization. - Train and mentor junior team members, contribute to the creation of onboarding plans, and actively participate in talent development initiatives within the finance organization. - Proactively identify financial process improvement opportunities, implement solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in transportation finance operations. A day in the life Your day begins with reviewing key financial metrics and addressing any urgent requests from operations teams. You'll spend time analyzing logistics fixed costs and monitoring tax credit opportunities, then collaborate with cross-functional partners through emails, messages, and meetings to resolve issues and provide financial guidance. Throughout the day, you'll work on maintaining financial dashboards, documenting processes, and mentoring junior team members. You'll also follow up on stakeholder commitments and requests, ensuring that operational partners receive timely financial support for their decision-making needs. About the team The Transportation Finance team in Brazil serves as strategic partners to Amazon's transportation operations, providing financial analysis, budget management, and insights for decision-making. We work closely with operations teams to support their financial needs while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance. Basic Qualifications
- - Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence - Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes - Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis - Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
Preferred Qualifications
