- This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Sr. Principal Engineer Architect in the United States. This is a senior technical leadership role focused on designing and building next-generation Agentic AI platforms that power highly personalized, large-scale customer experiences. You will shape the architecture behind multi-agent systems that reason, plan, and execute across complex consumer journeys, directly influencing conversion, engagement, and business growth. The role combines deep hands-on engineering with strategic platform ownership, requiring both architectural vision and execution excellence. You will define reusable AI capabilities that enable multiple teams to innovate independently while ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. Working across product, data, and engineering teams, you will help embed AI deeply into core ecommerce and lifecycle experiences. This is a high-impact environment where engineering decisions translate directly into measurable customer and revenue outcomes.
- Accountabilities Architect and build scalable Agentic AI platforms, including multi-agent systems that operate across end-to-end customer journeys and enable intelligent automation and personalization. Define and evolve core platform abstractions and reusable AI capabilities that allow teams across the organization to independently build and deploy AI-powered experiences. Lead the technical strategy for AI systems leveraging multimodal data (such as images, metadata, and behavioral signals) to drive personalization at scale. Design and implement foundational infrastructure for AI platforms, including orchestration systems, scalable inference layers, and evaluation frameworks for quality, safety, and performance. Remain deeply hands-on in system design, prototyping, coding, and production debugging, setting a high bar for engineering excellence. Partner with Product, UX, and Data teams to translate AI capabilities into measurable business outcomes such as conversion, engagement, and revenue growth. Influence engineering practices across multiple domains including ecommerce, personalization, and marketing systems, while mentoring senior engineers and driving AI-first adoption. Requirements 12+ years of software engineering experience with strong expertise in distributed systems and large-scale architecture design. Proven experience leading the design and delivery of complex, high-scale, production-grade systems in cloud environments. Strong hands-on engineering background with deep system design and coding capability. Demonstrated ability to define and influence cross-organizational technical strategy in fast-moving environments. Experience building or contributing to AI/ML systems, including LLM-based applications, agent frameworks, retrieval systems, or multi-agent architectures. Strong understanding of scalable infrastructure, observability, and reliability engineering principles. Experience translating advanced technical systems into measurable business impact and customer-facing value. Preferred experience building 0→1 AI platforms or consumer-facing ecommerce products in ambiguous environments. Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to mentor senior engineers and influence technical direction across teams.
