This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery of high-voltage substation projects that support critical power infrastructure across utility, renewable, industrial, and telecommunications sectors. You will take a leading technical role in both physical and protection & control (P&C) engineering activities, ensuring safe, reliable, and high-quality electrical system performance. Working within small, multidisciplinary teams, you will collaborate closely with engineers and project stakeholders to deliver end-to-end substation solutions. The position combines hands-on engineering design with project coordination responsibilities, including technical reviews, calculations, and construction documentation. You will also play a key role in ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements while supporting project execution from concept through delivery. This is a highly impactful role for an experienced engineer looking to shape complex energy infrastructure projects in a fast-evolving sector.
• Accountabilities In this role, you will lead and support the technical execution of substation engineering projects, contributing to both physical design and protection & control systems. You will be responsible for producing high-quality engineering deliverables while ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements. Develop conceptual designs, execution plans, cost estimates, and project schedules for substation projects Produce detailed engineering deliverables including one-line diagrams, schematics, layouts, grounding, and wiring designs Prepare calculations, studies, reports, and technical documentation for high-voltage power systems Perform quality reviews of engineering work completed by peers to ensure accuracy and compliance Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, structural, transmission, and P&C) to deliver integrated project solutions Track project progress and provide regular updates on milestones, timelines, and completion status Support construction documentation and technical delivery across all phases of substation projects Requirements The ideal candidate is an experienced substation engineer with strong technical expertise in high-voltage systems and protection & control design. You are comfortable working in collaborative environments and managing multiple technical responsibilities with precision and accountability.
