Job Description
- This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Staff Security Engineer in United States. This role sits within a cutting-edge defense technology environment focused on building secure, scalable systems that support advanced autonomous and AI-driven platforms. You will play a key role in shaping and operating enterprise-wide Identity and Access Management capabilities that protect critical engineering and production systems. The position involves designing foundational identity infrastructure that spans cloud, SaaS, and internal tools at scale. You will work closely with security, infrastructure, and product engineering teams to define and implement robust access frameworks. The environment is fast-moving, highly technical, and mission-driven, requiring strong ownership and architectural thinking. Your work will directly impact the security posture of complex, distributed systems used to build next-generation defense capabilities.
- Accountabilities: Design and build a company-wide identity platform that serves as the backbone of security and access control across systems and tools. Develop and maintain applications and services that enforce identity policies and enable secure access across cloud and internal environments. Build integrations that unify identity data across identity providers, SaaS platforms, cloud services, and internal systems. Automate identity lifecycle processes such as provisioning, deprovisioning, access reviews, and offboarding workflows. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define IAM architecture and deliver iterative, scalable solutions. Participate in system design reviews and contribute to improving overall security engineering practices. Requirements: Strong programming skills in at least one modern language such as Go or Rust. Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK in production environments. Deep understanding of identity protocols and standards such as SAML, OAuth, OIDC, and SCIM, or experience with platforms like Okta or Azure Active Directory. Proven ability to translate complex system requirements into maintainable, production-ready software solutions. Experience contributing to or leading architecture and design discussions in distributed systems environments. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deploying services in cloud environments. Strong ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across engineering teams. Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS security clearance. Benefits: Competitive base salary ranging from $147,000 to $253,000 USD. Equity grants as part of the total compensation package for most full-time roles. Comprehensive health, recovery, and wellness benefits designed to support employees at low or no cost. Flexible and mission-driven work environment with opportunities for remote collaboration. Exposure to highly complex, large-scale systems and advanced security engineering challenges. Strong focus on professional growth in high-impact, cutting-edge technology domains.
