As a Startup Account Manager, you will help drive the growth of your customers, servicing their unique needs, engaging with Founders, CxOs, Board of Directors and VC influencers, and teaming with business development, marketing, solution architecture and partner teams to lead execution of coordinated go-to-market strategies. Key job responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for driving and growing revenue, establishing AWS as the key cloud technology provider across your customer portfolio, promoting the entire AWS products and services. You are passionate about startups, a self-starter who is prepared to work in a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment, execute against ambitious goals, and consistently embrace the Amazon Culture. You will be at the heart of latest trends in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), serverless and IoT, helping your customers to leverage state-of-the-art technologies on AWS to innovate and become the next disrupters, like today’s AirBnB, Slack, DoorDash, and Lyft. Drive revenue and market share in a defined territory or industry vertical. Meet or exceed revenue and goal targets. Develop and execute a comprehensive account/territory plan to manage and grow numerous accounts concurrently. Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services. Basic Qualifications
  • - IT/Tech/Cloud sales experience in closing new business and carrying quota, proven track-record of consistent customer growth and quota achievement in IT sales - Experience selling cloud solutions at a technology company, knowledge of core cloud computing concepts including compute, storage, database and higher order capabilities like microservices, analytics, server less and machine learning - Knowledge of German Startup landscape and passion for helping startups grow - Entrepreneurial “builder” mentality, excellent verbal and written communication skills - Comfortable delivering results amid ambiguity and change
Preferred Qualifications
  • - MBA/MA/MS degree or relevant experience - A technical or educational background in engineering, computer science - Knowledge of Swiss Startup ecosystems and passion for helping Startups grow - Additional Swiss languages (German, French, Italian) are a strong plus Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
