- As a Supply Chain Manager, you will own end-to-end material readiness across New Product Introduction(NPI) programs, from early development builds(xVT) through mass production(MP). You will lead complex, multi-tier supply chain planning, proactively identify and mitigate risks, and ensure seamless material availability to support product development timelines. This role requires strong cross-functional leadership, working closely with engineering, operations, procurement and external manufacturing partners to drive execution, optimize processes, and deliver high-quality outcomes under tight timelines. Key job responsibilities Material readiness & Execution - Own material readiness strategy and execution across all NPI phases. - Develop and manage detailed material plans aligned with program schedules and build requirements - Drive purchase order placement, tracking, and delivery to ensure on-time material availability for build and ramp Risk Management & Mitigation - Proactively identify supply chain risks(long lead time component, design changes, capacity constraint) - Develop mitigation strategies including alternate sourcing, risk buys, schedule adjustments and inventory repositioning - Maintain clear visibility of material risks and communicate actionable insights to stakeholders Cross-functional Alignment - Act as the primary point of contact for material readiness, driving alignment across engineering, program management, procurement, and contract manufacturers. - Provide regular updates on material status, risks, and recovery plans to stakeholders and leadership. - Influence decision-making through data-driven insights and scenario analysis. Inventory & E&O Management - Manage NPI material inventory, including Excess & Obsolescence (E&O), to minimize financial exposure. - Balance supply and demand during design changes, build iterations, and program transitions. Process Improvement & Mechanism Development - Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance NPI material planning, tracking, and execution. - Develop scalable tools, dashboards, and mechanisms to improve visibility and efficiency. - Standardize best practices across programs to improve predictability and execution quality. A day in the life - Review material readiness status across multiple NPI programs, identifying gaps against upcoming build requirements. - Follow up with suppliers and contract manufacturers to resolve delivery issues and secure critical components. - Analyze supply risks (lead time changes, shortages, design updates) and develop mitigation plans. - Lead cross-functional meetings to align on material status, risks, and recovery actions. - Update stakeholders with clear, data-driven summaries on program readiness and key escalations. - Drive execution of purchase orders and expedite critical materials to meet timelines. - Continuously refine tracking tools and dashboards to improve visibility and decision-making.
Basic Qualifications
- - 5+ years of procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management, lease administration or operations experience - 5+ years of relevant strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis experience - Experience with data analysis tools such as Advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python - Experience in global supply chain management, managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consumer electronics product company
Preferred Qualifications
