Our partner is looking for a Technical Manager – Platform Services Mobile Foundations based in Brazil. As a Technical Manager, you will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for building and evolving the foundational technologies that power mobile and frontend experiences across a global digital platform. You will combine people leadership, technical architecture, and project delivery to develop scalable SDKs, platform services, and integrations that support essential capabilities such as identity, push notifications, and localization. Working closely with product, UX, backend, and consumer-facing engineering teams, you will align technical roadmaps with business priorities and drive complex initiatives from planning through deployment. Your expertise in React and React Native will help guide architectural decisions, establish engineering standards, and ensure high-quality software delivery. Beyond technical execution, you will mentor engineers, support career development, and foster a collaborative, inclusive engineering culture. - Accountabilities: Lead, manage, and develop a multidisciplinary software engineering team responsible for mobile and frontend platform foundations, fostering technical excellence, accountability, and continuous professional growth. Drive the end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional platform initiatives, coordinating requirements, dependencies, resources, timelines, and implementation plans. Provide technical and architectural leadership across React and React Native ecosystems, guiding design decisions and ensuring scalable, reliable, and maintainable platform solutions. Oversee the development and evolution of foundational platform services, SDKs, and integrations, including push notifications, identity management, localization, and other shared capabilities. Align frontend and mobile platform requirements with Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) services and core backend systems to ensure consistent integration patterns and reliable application performance. Collaborate with product managers, UX teams, and consumer-facing engineering teams to define technical scope, prioritize roadmaps, establish integration standards, and balance business needs with engineering constraints. Facilitate architectural discussions, review technical designs and code where appropriate, and guide teams toward sound engineering decisions and effective implementation strategies. Establish and promote engineering best practices covering automated testing, continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), monitoring, reliability, and developer experience. Manage project execution through roadmap planning, sprint coordination, risk mitigation, resource allocation, and continuous progress monitoring. Mentor engineers through regular feedback, performance management, career development planning, and opportunities to strengthen technical and leadership capabilities. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive team environment that encourages knowledge sharing, innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement. Champion engineering quality and operational excellence while balancing technical sustainability, delivery timelines, and time-to-market objectives. Requirements: Proven experience leading and managing software engineering teams, including people management, hiring, performance evaluation, coaching, and career development. Strong software engineering background with hands-on experience in React and React Native ecosystems, as well as modern frontend and mobile architecture. Professional experience with both technologies is a mandatory requirement for this role. Demonstrated experience leading technical projects from initial planning and architecture through implementation, deployment, and ongoing improvement. Solid understanding of distributed systems and modern application architecture, including Micro Frontends, Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) patterns, Node.js, RESTful APIs, and GraphQL. Ability to evaluate architectural trade-offs, guide technical decisions, and ensure solutions meet requirements for scalability, maintainability, performance, and reliability. Experience managing technical roadmaps, sprint planning, project dependencies, resource allocation, delivery risks, and cross-functional execution. Familiarity with platform engineering concepts, shared frontend or mobile services, SDK development, and reusable integration patterns. Knowledge of engineering quality practices, including automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and developer experience improvements. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences. Professional proficiency in Portuguese and English, with the ability to communicate effectively across teams and stakeholders in both languages. Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, provide constructive feedback, support career progression, and build high-performing teams. Strong organizational skills, strategic thinking, and a results-oriented mindset, with the ability to balance long-term architectural goals against immediate delivery priorities.
