Job Description

Sigma Computing is redefining what it means to work with data. Our warehouse-native AI platform transforms cloud data warehouse data into intelligent, interactive applications — empowering every business user to explore live data, run AI models, automate approvals, and drive decisions, all without data ever leaving the warehouse. Trusted by enterprises like JPMorganChase and backed by $662M in funding, Sigma has been recognized as Snowflake's BI Data Cloud Product Partner of the Year (three years running) and Databricks' Business Intelligence Partner of the Year.

With 1,400+ employees and expanding globally — including our newest APAC headquarters in Sydney — we're scaling fast and building the team that will define the next era of AI-powered analytics.

The Role

We're looking for a Technical Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team, focused exclusively on Engineering hiring. You'll be a strategic partner to hiring managers across Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Platform, and AI/ML — owning full-cycle recruiting for some of the most technically complex and high-impact roles at the company.

This isn't a coordinator role or a checkbox-filler. You'll engage deeply with engineering leaders, build pipelines in markets where top talent is fiercely contested, and be a genuine ambassador for Sigma's mission and engineering culture.

What You'll Do

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for engineering roles including Software Engineers (Frontend, Backend, Full-Stack), Data Engineers, Platform/Infrastructure Engineers, and AI/ML Engineers
  • Partner closely with Engineering leadership and hiring managers to deeply understand technical requirements, team dynamics, and business priorities — and translate those into sharp job positioning and sourcing strategies
  • Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines through creative sourcing: LinkedIn, GitHub, conference networks, referral programs, niche communities, and more
  • Craft compelling outreach that cuts through the noise and speaks to engineers authentically
  • Lead structured interview processes and ensure a consistent, high-quality candidate experience from first touch to offer
  • Use data to drive decisions track pipeline metrics, conversion rates, time-to-fill, and offer acceptance trends to continuously improve recruiting performance
  • Contribute to employer branding efforts, including engineering blog content, tech meetups, and university partnerships
  • Stay current on compensation benchmarks and partner with People Ops to make competitive, equitable offers
  • Champion diversity and inclusion in every stage of the hiring funnel

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • 3–6 years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, ideally at a high-growth SaaS or data/AI company
  • Demonstrated success hiring for software engineering roles in competitive markets (SF Bay Area, NYC, or remote)
  • Strong sourcing skills across multiple channels you don't just wait for applicants
  • Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts well enough to have credible conversations with engineers and hiring managers
  • Data-driven mindset: you track your funnel, know your numbers, and iterate based on results
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills you can push back thoughtfully when needed
  • Experience with modern ATS platforms (Greenhouse, Lever, or equivalent)

Nice to Have:

  • Experience recruiting for Data Engineering, AI/ML, or Platform/Infrastructure roles
  • Familiarity with the cloud data warehouse ecosystem (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, etc.)
  • Background in both agency and in-house recruiting
  • Experience building or scaling a recruiting function at a Series B–D company
  • Knowledge of equitable hiring practices and structured interviewing frameworks

Compensation

Base Salary Range: $125,000 – $140,000 USD (depending on experience and location) Plus equity, annual bonus eligibility, and comprehensive benefits.

Sigma Computing is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
