Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for web applications and APIs.
  • Perform manual testing for new features, bug fixes, and regression testing.
  • Create comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution.
  • Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Monitor application quality metrics and recommend process improvements.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release validation.
  • Ensure software meets functional, usability, performance, and security standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks such as:
    • Playwright
    • Cypress
    • Selenium
    • Jest
  • Experience testing RESTful APIs using Postman or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with Git and modern CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience testing cloud-based applications (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
  • Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6.
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Basic programming experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Java.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with mobile application testing.
  • Knowledge of accessibility (WCAG) testing.
  • Experience with security testing tools.
  • ISTQB or equivalent testing certification.
