Job Description

Who We Are

The Cruise Globe is the world's leading digital platform for cruise travellers. Our community app, the "Strava for cruises", lets cruisers track their exact routes and stats, capture and share their journeys, and plan and book what comes next. We now have 165,000+ users and over 1 million cruises logged, built entirely through word of mouth.

Alongside the platform, we recently launched The Cruise Globe Agency, a full-service cruise travel agency. Our ambition is to become the go-to cruise travel agency, and our content and community are central to how we get there.

At the heart of the business is Emma Cruises, co-founder of The Cruise Globe and one of the most trusted voices in cruising, with over 425,000 YouTube subscribers and 10 million+ monthly views. We're actively building out The Cruise Globe YouTube channel to grow our audience and reach, and we work with top content creators across the cruise space. Cruising is the fastest-growing segment in travel, this is a genuinely exciting opportunity to help rapidly grow a channel that already has momentum and an engaged global audience behind it while being part of a fast-growing, highly ambitious team working to define a category in travel.

The Opportunity

We are hiring a YouTube Video Editor to join our remote team in the Philippines and take ownership of editing long-form video content for The Cruise Globe's YouTube channel.

This role is focused on The Cruise Globe's own YouTube channel, which Emma is currently managing. This is separate from Emma's personal channel, which has its own established audience. The Cruise Globe channel is earlier in its journey and represents a real opportunity to help build something from the ground up, with Emma's expertise, reach, and creative instincts behind it. We need someone who understands YouTube deeply, knows what makes long-form content perform, and can edit to a consistently high standard at pace.

This is a focused, execution-led role. You will work directly from briefs and raw footage provided by Emma, editing full-length YouTube videos and creating thumbnails that match the style and tone of the channel. You will not be expected to own creative strategy, but you will be encouraged to bring your instincts and suggest improvements where you see them.

Success in this role is measured by:

  • Consistent, high-quality edits delivered on time and to brief
  • A strong understanding of YouTube pacing, retention, and audience engagement
  • Thumbnails that are on-brand and optimised for click-through
  • Fast turnaround and reliable communication throughout
